The Danish Parliament has adopted the ‘’Act on Maritime Spatial Planning’’, which establishes the framework for spatial planning in the Danish marine areas.

The coming spatial plan will apply to the marine internal waters, territorial sea and the EEZ.

The Maritime Authority under the Danish Ministry of Business leads the process and the first Danish maritime spatial plan will be sent into hearing during summer 2020 in order to be ratified by the Danish Parliament before end of March 2021.
